Here's a little bit of history on Dennis Brookshire (the owner) and his family. Born and raised in an outdoor family, my early years were spent hunting whitetail and mule deer. I learned how to shoot in eastern Washington with my mom in the hayfields, plunking at ground squirrels.
I started guiding clients in Washington State hunting turkeys and deer. I really wanted to hunt elk, so I learned how to bugle. It wasn’t long, and I got pretty good at it, but now it’s just second nature to me.
We then had the opportunity to buy an outfitting business in Idaho, and we took it! The area was perfect for us. It was large enough to host our camps and beautiful as well. We started out with bears in the spring and elk and deer in the fall. Mountain lions would come later during the winter months.
Along with hunting, I was taught at an early age to fly fish on small streams and lakes, which I carry with me still today. I am passionate about our clients and their hunting success in the mountains and will always make this a top priority with them.
I've been married to Debbie for 42 years. She helps me with all the office work and even the clients. She has stuck with me through thick and thin! We both compliment each other and have each other's backs. We both adore our grandkids and spend as much time with them as we can (along with our daughter and son-in-law too!).
We strive to be the best outfitter that we can in Idaho. When you book a hunt with us, we hope your experience with us is adventurous and memorable. We’ve had many return clients and always enjoy having them back in camp with us. Come join us!
